Medical tourism is travelling to other country for the cheap treatment. Medical tourism is now established as industry by many countries. High cost of health care and significant rise in patients in many countries is the main reason for the development of medical tourism.

India is no 2 in medical tourism and 4.5 lakh patients from other countries come Indian hospitals for the treatment. Thiland is on the 1st spot with 12 Lakh patients. Cheaper treatment is a main reason for the attraction in India.

India focuses on cardiac, neurological or orthopaedic problems. AIDS, Tuberculosis, cancer, malaria and diabetes. Thailand is more into cosmetic surgery.
